Alone

Updated: Dec 18, 2024

I woke up early one morning after Herb passed and saw a vision of myself jogging up a hill. The enemy (who never gives up!) gave me the thought: "You will be alone for the rest of your life."

I panicked! Words can't describe the terrifying loneliness I felt at that moment. But I had been listening to “Bible Promises” on YouTube to go to sleep the night before, so I grabbed my phone and hit play to wash my mind with the Word. The first verse to play was this:

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV).

Peace flooded back in – all it took was the entrance of the Word of God – the Truth! The panic was a false alarm! Any thoughts of loneliness are lies, because God said, “I will never leave you nor abandon you (Hebrews 13:5 ISV).” We are never alone, so how could we be lonely?

It's a battleground out there, folks, and the enemy is always throwing darts, but we can win with the Word!
