If Herb came back in the house saying, "Get your shoes on and come outside! You've got to see this!" I knew something was blooming.

We were a hunting family. Thanksgiving week was always a fun flurry of activities with hunters coming and going, grabbing bites of turkey and pie as the food came hot out of the oven.
